That’s the title of mini Korean drama I saw recently. First of all, I don’t really want to watch this because I don’t quite interested with the main leads, Lee Dong Gun and the sexy singer~”Korean Beyonce”~ Lee Hyori. And after reading the synopsis, I became more hesitate to watch it. The story is about a singer named Ina (my last name :p), who was about to release her debut album before she found out she has leukemia ( this is the main formula of K-drama, terminal disease..). She met Jeong Tae, the one who survived from a department store building collapse in the hospital. And, to make life more darker, Jeong Tae is also had a late stage of cancer.
See? 2 persons who have cancer met, how sad the story will not to be?
Since it only has 4 episodes ( actually it is only a 70min episode, but I don’t know why the DVDs are splitting it into 4 eps..), so I decide to give it a try..
In eps 1, I met one of my favorite actor, Jeong Joon Hoo ( one of that ajusshi type actor that I like..:)) ). So sad, he’s not the lead actor, so I can’t see him more often.
I read on Soompi that both LDG and Hyori are not that good in acting, so I quite pessimist about this drama.
But, I really like the theme about how you are going to spend your last moments of life and how lucky you are if you have a chance to meet real love before you die.
My gloomy and sensitive side of personality ( did I ever say that I have dual personality? Well, exactly, my personalities are not only two..) always thinks that my biggest wish in life is to have someone really love me, and will keep thinking of me and has a part in his heart for memorize me if I leave the world before him.
That sad thought, isn’t it?
The drama was showing how these two sick people developed their feelings and relationship during their journey to the end of their lives.
SPOILER ALERT!!
Jeong Tae tried to do everything to fulfill Ina’s dream to become a singer.
The ending was really sad, he decided to donor his bone marrow to Ina, but since he had brain cancer, the surgery will kill him, but it didn’t stop him for doing it.
While watched this, I just couldn’t stop thinking, if I have a man like Jeong Tae in my life, just having the wish to save my life by sacrifice his own life, I will be satisfied, and willing to leave the world just by knowing it.
OK I know it is not good to think about death when you’re damn healthy. But my romantic side is always need to be fulfilled by this kind of thought.
After watching it, seemed that the storyline is indeed a cliché, and the acting was ordinary.
The drama was just OK, not too good to my taste, and somehow the performance is not moving me enough. I am a crybaby, even watching Finding Nemo can make me cry ( really! Am serious. ), but the acting wasn’t convincing enough to make me teary. Quite disappointing.
But, if you have spare time, maybe you also can give it a try..
Ah, need to move on..to another drama! ![]()
